At Finca Montrubí, we have recently installed our own weather station with the goal of monitoring environmental conditions in real time and optimizing crop management by making precise and sustainable decisions throughout the entire vine growing cycle.
The station allows us to monitor key factors such as temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind, and solar radiation. This vital information helps us prevent climate-related risks like frost or heatwaves, adjust irrigation during dry periods, and detect favorable conditions for the development of fungi such as downy mildew or powdery mildew.
In addition, data logging enables us to anticipate grape ripening and plan the harvest at the optimal moment, as well as adapt agricultural practices such as pruning, canopy management, and the application of plant protection treatments.
