Montrubí, at Barcelona Wine Week 2026

A new edition, the sixth, of Barcelona Wine Week is about to start. This benchmark wine fair will once again fill Halls 1 and 8 of Fira de Barcelona, at Montjuïc. Montrubí will also be there.

And it will do so through its exhibition space, where visitors will be able to meet the team and discover the wines and the project, and also through a special event that will mark the beginning of an important milestone for the winery. This year we celebrate the 25th anniversary of Gaintus Vertical, the emblem of the project and a testament to our commitment to the recovery and vinification of the Sumoll grape variety. One of our wines will take part of a gastronomic event at the city of Barcelona during the previous and the celebration days of the event.

Hall 8, Stand 368

Of the two halls occupied by the fair, Montrubí’s stand will be located in Hall 8, at stand 368, under the umbrella of the Penedès Designation of Origin. It will be the ideal place to stop by, taste, and learn about the new developments of our winegrowing project for 2026. We will present our different ranges, from Black and White to Serres Velles, without forgetting the Gaintus range, which allows us to showcase different vinifications of our flagship variety, Sumoll.

Vertical tasting, with Álvaro Ribalta MW

Within the framework of the fair, we will host a unique and highly significant session for Montrubí: a vertical tasting of five vintages of Gaintus Vertical, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the first bottle released to the market. The tasting will take place on Monday, February 2nd, from 2:45 pm to 3:45 pm, in the Sala Príncipe, and will be led by Master of Wine Álvaro Ribalta.

Montrubí, Hotel Wine Fest and Barcelona Likes the City!

On the other hand, outside the fairgrounds, Montrubí will be present at the 3rd edition of the Hotel Wine Fest, which will be held from January 21 to February 4, 2026 in Barcelona as part of the BWW Likes the City program.

The 2022 vintage Serres Velles Macabeu is part of the selection of wines that will be paired with gastronomic experiences at the event, held in emblematic hotels in the city. For two weeks, ten Designations of Origin will offer proposals that combine gastronomy and wine, from tapas with a glass to tasting menus with pairing, with a special focus on Catalan wine.
