Winemaking
Advent Samsó is a wine made from 100% Carignan grapes affected by noble rot (Botrytis cinerea). In the Penedès region this unusual result can only be achieved in specific weather conditions, which makes this wine even more extraordinary. During harvest we only select the bunches that achieve the maximum concentration. Very long fermentation during 9 months in French oak barrels.
Tasting notes
Elegance, subtlety, complexity and freshness are the hallmarks of this wine both on the nose and the palate. The luscious, yet fresh palate is redolent in wild Mediterranean herbs and heather with touches of poached Jumilla pear and orange zest.
Food pairing
Fruit salad, cereal biscuits, nuts, hard cheeses such as Mahón o Comté/Gruyère.
